We’re not used to snow. One flake can disrupt life for days. Several inches and one would think that we’ve been transponded to Siberia. The media can’t get enough of it. We’ve had the beast from the east and now we are attacked by a mini beast. And yet….

…the garden is clean and bright but the deer are not too happy. She visited again early this morning trying to find the last of the apples but she looked as confused and forlorn as the weatherman. No apples today.

The daffodils seem not so pleased either and bow their heads in sympathy. My wife and son don’t see the point of photographing flowers in black and white. To me the monotone emphasizes their pretty form and sensual shape.

Tomorrow the chaos will begin again. Couriers will find it the perfect excuse for not delivering on time, forecasters will be thrilled to invent new adjectives for this temporary hardship.
I will enjoy the daffodils in the snow.
