Evening Sun over Lake Wanaka
The phone call to advise me that Air New Zealand had found a seat for me back to the UK only two days after my scheduled departure date was just a touch unwelcome. Their original estimate was a full two weeks delay and I had already big plans to explore the South Island. Nonetheless the enforced extra time in this beautiful place was wonderful and thought myself lucky that I was stuck here rather than in some airport. Indeed, some clouds have a silver lining.
