Opening a new equipment rental operation in New Zealand is a big move for Van Walt but after several years renting groundwater monitoring and environmental sampling equipment very successfully in the UK, we think we have the right experience to roll out the same concept in New Zealand.
New Zealand is not the UK but I firmly believe that if we offer the right selection of equipment, it is maintained at the highest level so it always performs to spec on site, gives accurate results that are consistently audited by our service team and the hire equipment is always available at competitive prices – the New Zealand environmentalists, academics, horticulturists and those involved in agricultural soil and water research, will want to try us.
I know that a considerable amount of time and effort will be required working with customers to ensure we offer the right equipment for a project and listening to their requirements, offering alternatives and assessing the success of our solution, will be a day to day activity but, a bit like the relationship I have with my daughter – where there are no hard and fast rules – I have to listen, adapt, be fair, consistent and, above all honest, that Van Walt will make a real difference to the success of the New Zealand environmental monitoring and research sectors.
