To monitor the leachate levels at a landfill site in order to improve understanding of leachate generation within the different landfill cells and so provide data which management can use to inform decisions.
Van Walt Ireland supplied and installed five leachate level monitoring stations, each with water level sensors attached to vanwaltDataNodes. In turn, the DataNodes are connected, via radio telemetry, to one vanwaltDataHub which also has a rain gauge. Data is collected every 15 minutes and uploaded hourly for analysis.
