Each bespoke telemetered installation that we carry out is never fully complete even when we successfully wrap up on site. For the majority of projects that we have worked on, we are still very much involved in part of the journey. Whether its monitoring alarms, expanding the network, assisting the handover from one consultancy to another, or being part of the decommissioning process, we are very fortunate to be involved as much (or as little) as our customers would like.

Our installation at Vindolanda Roman Fort is no exception. Four years after our initial site visit, we are back on site extended their network to an additional location. A water quality sonde, soil moisture sensors, rain gauge and weather station were each installed with their own DataNode logger which send their data to a central DataGateway.

We also used this opportunity to upgrade two of the old DataHubs with our new DataGateway, with the added advantage of being able to add or remove Nodes without lengthy configuration changes to the Gateway and the additional benefit of having a front mounted solar panel for low maintenance and discreet installations.

Our telemetered solutions are designed for flexibility, including the ease of expansion and catering for multiple parameters and sensors.
