• The Russian Sediment / Peat Borer Kit is a specialist sampling tool for extracting undisturbed sediment and peat core samples.
• Commonly used in peatland surveys and soil profiling, it allows clean, controlled core recovery with minimal disturbance.
• The Russian corer is a really useful when sampling very incohesive material such as sludges and mud.
• The corer is driven to the desired horizon by hand. A full rotation will capture the sample within the chamber, held in place by the corer’s wing.
• Additional extensions can be used to get to the desired depth.
