The Requirement
Alongside an existing installation to support flood defenses on a housing estate with water level monitoring (see: https://www.vanwalt.com/projects/supporting-the-flood-defences-on-a-housing-estate/) our customer had an additional requirement to continuously measure water velocity and flow into the attenuation ponds.
Our Solution
To add a Starflow QSD Flow Meter to the existing vanwaltDataHub with a firmware update and, within a few hours, the customer is receiving flow, depth of water and temperature of the water in the access pipe, in addition to the existing pond level readings. All data delivered to the customer’s desktop via the vanwaltCONNECT cloud server.
