When it comes to best practice and getting the most from your environmental monitoring equipment the social network communication revolution has transformed how we access and share best practice information!
For some time now we have operated a Twitter account and enjoy following #groundwater, #environmental and #fracking threads. We have used these very useful blogs around key environmental equipment groups and groundwater monitoring techniques and procedures to re-enforce equipment launches, updates and anything else which may be of value to you in your day-to-day environmental research and now we’ve introduced a “Forums” facility to our website.
The idea is to have several categories of topics, each relating to a particular sector of users. For the moment the Diver Technical Forum is up and running and we invite you to participate in the discussions. So far we have threads on using Divers in Artesian Wells and some technical information on the installation of Diver Office and the drivers for Divergate under a Windows 8 platform.
Of course these forums will not replace our Technical Update emails and other communication channels but they are another route to exchanging information with other Diver Water Level Logger users and other specialist groundwater monitoring equipment. When it comes to Diver we are delighted to say that the manufacturer, Schlumberger Water Services and of course our own Diver maintenance and service team members will contribute.
Joining the Diver Technical Forum is by invitation, at the moment the other topics are ‘open’. If you think you would benefit and feel you can contribute as a participant to the Diver Forum or any of the others then please email tracey@vanwalt.com to register your interest.
We look forward to chatting and sharing best practice with you!
We need to make clear, that at the time of writing, there are no ISO or EN standards which deal with the sampling of groundwater for PFAS.
