Together we are better

October 4, 2012

It is with delight (and also some pride) that I can tell you that as of 1st October 2012 Van Walt purchased an important interest in the Spanish Company Analab S.A. based in Sant Cugat near Barcelona.

Analab is a well established company of some thirty years and during that time she has built a tremendous reputation and goodwill as suppliers of equipment for soil and environmental research. This strategic partnership will provide synergetic advantages to our combined customer base.

To reassure Analab’s customers, business will continue as usual so nothing changes from that perspective but Van Walt will be able to provide additional support, in particular as concerns technical backup. Furthermore there will be much communality between the two companies and there will be some product price advantages to the Spanish customers.

Analab will be run by Maria Montserrat Ampuy (Montse), the daughter of Jaume Ampuy, founder of Analab. He has consented to remain involved as Chairman of the Board.

Customers of Analab will be contacted within the next 10 days and outstanding quotations will be revalidated.

The analab.es domain and website will remain in a slightly revamped form but the very substantial resources available through the vanwalt.com domain will also be available to Analab’s customers.
