Vincent and Yvonne recently completed their Irish road trip visiting customers from Cork, Dungarvan, Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin. A whistle-stop tour demonstrating some of our latest equipment, catching up with colleagues both old and new and finding out what’s in store for our customers in the coming months.
One of the customers, Dr Deirdre Hennessy, is shown standing by one of 704 soil solution canes installed at the Teagasc facility near Fermoy Ireland. Deirdre is to be congratulated on the amazing work which she has carried out to determine the movement of Nitrate from grazed fields. This project which is now entering its fourth season is one of the largest of its kind in the world. Results and the publication of a paper is in the process of being written and we all look forward to reading her conclusions. Really well done to Deirdre and her team.
The marathon schedule included a visit to University College Cork with Professor Devoy and Mary Murphy for re-training on the use of their window sampling set, and visits to WYG, URS, O'Callaghan Moran & Associates and others. Despite the austerity caused by the recession, Ireland seems to be well adjusted to the economic climate and we wish all our customers well.
